The workshop invites ongoing work in using evolutionary computation techniques for addressing the problems stated here or any other application of genetic or evolutionary computation to military and security problems. Presentations and posters will be chosen by the organizing committee on the basis of a submitted extended abstract, with a preference for those that have the potential to generate discussion related to the goals of the workshop. Accepted abstracts will be available in electronic form before the workshop.

The following dates are preliminary and are subject to change.

Abstracts should be no longer than 3 pages, including the title page, figures, and bibliography. Email an electronic copy of the extended abstract (in GECCO style) to msaec2006@upton9265.net with subject "MSAEC 2006 ABSTRACT SUBMISSION". The format for presentations submitted to the workshop is that used for ACM SIG proceedings. Formatting requirements can be found here at the GECCO-2006 website. You can ignore the requirement to omit author names and affiliations as we do not use a double-blind review process.

In addition to the abstract, email plain-text information about the abstract to the same address with subject "MSAEC 2006 ABSTRACT INFORMATION ", containing the title of the paper, information about the authors (including name, affiliation, mailing address, email address, and phone). At least one author is required to attend the workshop and give the corresponding presentation.

In case of the acceptance of the extended abstract, in addition to the camera-ready paper described below, a plain-text abstract of no more than 150 words must be mailed. This will make it easier for us to put the abstract on the web-page. The message should be formatted as follows:

Final camera-ready abstracts (1-3 pages) should be mailed to the same address with subject "MSAEC 2006 FINAL SUBMISSION" (in GECCO style). The final abstracts will be published in the workshop CDROM.
